Girlfriends

Now this is a tricky subject. Every male rocker loves to have a hot girlfriend just to prove even further how cool they are, but sorry ladies, usually Rock N Roll and girlfriends don’t mix! We’ve seen This Is Spinal Tap, heard of The Beatles, and so I’ll give you some tips on how to not let your girlfriend wreck the band.

Gain is Not Your Friend

Gain is the easy way out. When your gain is cranking so loud u can’t even hear the tone of the guitar anymore, it’s hard to hear all the mistakes. But it’s also much harder to hear all of the good things going on. Try turning down the gain for once, and letting your guitar sing clearly.

Screaming = Bad (Usually)

Screaming is almost every rock singers best friend, but it can be harmful, and sound terrible. A newbie rocker will scream out of key, or in a bad place, or even using the wrong part of his voice. Screaming is a fine art that really needs to be mastered before it’s put into heavy use.
