Easy Goals to Set
Goals are the key to success
Setting goals is an easy way to jump start your band. They’ll force you to get organized, and to start practicing hard, and making sure everything sounds perfect. When a band is just kind of monkey-ing around, they won’t get nearly as far as a band who is on a time crunch and needs to get stuff done now! But these goals that you set don’t need to be goals like get a record deal, play Wembley stadium, or big things like that, they can be little, easy to accomplish goals, such as: write two new songs in the next week, play a gig this month, or learn three new covers.
Start Setting Goals
Now it’s easy to say “Hey, im going to do something this week!” But it’s much harder to actually do something. Get a piece of paper, and write all the things that you want to get done down. Hang that piece of paper up in your room, and remember what you’ve set out to do! A great goal to set right away, is playing a gig. Schedule a gig, because having a gig will force you to really work out your songs to perfection. They’re also incredibly fun, and you’ll get lots of fans for going out and playing.
Steps to Take:
- Figure out what goals seem reasonable for your band
- Write them all down on a piece of paper and hang it up
- Remind everyone of your goals
- Take action to complete your goals
In summary:
- Setting goals will jump start your band
- You’ll feel great after you accomplish them
- Write down your goals on a piece of paper and hang it up on the wall
- Get everyone excited to complete the goals!
