How do I get fans?

Getting fans is sometimes a simple task, and sometimes a very difficult one. But don’t fret, I’ll help you get some fans. To get fans, you need to have an appeal. An appeal can be anything from having really good looking band members, to having a reputation for having a great live show. One way or another though, you need to have some kind of an appeal.

What appeal can my band have?

This is something you’ll have to decide for yourself. An appeal is something that you’ll have to decide on what works best for you. What ends up working out for most successful bands though, is the combination of two, and those two are: great songs, and great live shows. Steps to take:

Figure out if you can think of a NEW concept that could really help propel your band forward
Don’t be afraid to try and copy another band, all great bands were copying someone
Make sure it’s a feeling/look/idea that you feel comfortable retaining for a long time

The most important thing to do to get fans though, is to be likable. Audiences love to see a band that really connects with the audience, and is really likable, instead of a band full of jerks. Bands like the Foo Fighters have a really good reputation for being nice, and it has gotten them lots of fans, because they’re really nice, and likable.
