Well what does a good photo do??

A good photo my dear sir/madam, is the gateway into the world of publicity. When Lollapalooza make the fliers for the next event, do you think they use the boring old picture of some boring old band? Nope! Well then do you think the article in the local paper about an upcoming battle of the bands will feature your boring band picture? Nope! Unless of course, you can take an interesting picture that people want to see!

“Ok, so maybe I don’t get in the local paper. So what?”

Well do you expect the record executive who is looking at the ad in the paper to come see your band, when there is a band in the paper with a really cool picture? Well you shouldn’t, because he’s going to see the band with the cool picture. This is the importance of having a great picture! Besides, isn’t it way cooler to see a picture of yourself in the paper?

Steps to Take:

Give it to local promoters who need a picture for the newspaper article, flier, whatever they need it for
Get in the paper!

This will give your band the extra publicity that you’ve probably been looking for. This will get your faces seen by the whole town! You can cut the articles out and hang them on your wall, or just be cool about it, and casually ask people if they read the paper last night. Either way, your band will be seen by more faces, which will in the long run, help you out.
